The Story Behind The Katrina Bamboo Bag

Nia I – AKA The Katrina Bag

When I first started selling my natural bags and purses, “Nia I” (The Katrina bag) was the best seller for months.  Everyone wanted this beautiful bamboo bag.  I showed my husband how to pose with the bag, you know how we do ladies just before buying it, and off he went with a few of the bags to showcase them at work.  They were a hit! This bag was given the name Katrina when an associate of my husband’s was the first to purchase it.  Everywhere you saw Ms. Katrina you saw the “Nia I” bag being sported on her shoulder and perched just so under her arm.  This was the only bag she rocked.  I wonder if she’s still in love with her “Katrina” bag today.

The “Katrina” bag is made by skilled artisans from Thailand and is woven from Bamboo, one of the most durable natural fibers known to man.  Branded by every customer that purchased one, as a fun, roomy shoulder bag, it is designed with cotton lining, a top zip closure, inner zip pocket, inner cell pocket, a cotton decorative topper, leather trim and two rattan carrying straps. This bag has very casual straps, so you can be versatile in whatever way you decide to carry it.

The “Katrina” bag comes in a dark brown or natural color. The size is approximately 9W x 6H.  Priced at only $45.00, you can enjoy this bag too.

We will be showcasing all of our bags from Thailand and Kenya at the 2011 City of Sunrise Earth Day on April 9, 2011 at the Sawgrass Sanctuary.  Come out, meet us and see the products for yourself.  The pictures are great, but there’s nothing like touching, seeing and posing with them.  See you there.
