Do You Have Annoying Ants…

We do – especially as spring has sprung and summer is on the horizon.  We’ve been finding more and more ants in the house.

We have a cuddly cat named Fox.  See, there he is..

Anyway, because we keep his cat food bowl on the floor, the ants seem to like what we’ve been feeding him… Organic cat food, of course.

We decided to get rid of the ants, without stumping, squishing or killing them with bug spray, by mixing a table spoon each of black pepper and cinnamon and sprinkling the contents near the ant entrance.  It really works, but you have to refresh it every few weeks or so.  I guess the blend loses its potency.

The mixture has been at the ant entrance in our house for 3 weeks and we’re just now getting  ant visitors.

We thought we’d  go all natural instead of spraying the hell out of Fox’s  room with a toxic bug spray and chancing him getting sick.
